Let's create a wedding that looks like your relationship🌹

Today is our 9th wedding anniversary! 9 years of g Today is our 9th wedding anniversary! 9 years of growing, changing, building a life (and business) together, and figuring things out as we go. I wouldn’t want to be on this adventure with anyone else. ❤️

Our wedding also gave baby-wedding-planner Stephanie quite the education in personalization and guest comfort.

Our wedding was incredibly personal. We primarily hired people from our church community, including our officiant, coordinator, caterer, and ceremony musicians from the youth group I helped lead.

We got married outside. In August. In Raleigh. At one point, we had a giant fan pointed directly at Grandma. 0/10 recommend. It was in the backyard of our church, which meant a LOT of DIY in a pavilion that wasn't designed for weddings.

We did a first touch and prayed together instead of a first look. It was right for that stage of our lives, but these days, I LOVE a first look.

Our wedding party was just my sis and Matt’s bro. Matt also escorted both of our moms down the aisle, which was beautiful.

We also included a foot washing ritual, which remains one of my favorite moments from the day. It was quiet, meaningful, and deeply reflective of who we were at that point in our lives.

I arranged all of our faux flowers, and my bouquet is still sitting on my desk. My dad built our ceremony backdrop from foraged branches, found one with a knot for us to get married under, and carved our initials into it. He also made our cornhole boards, and we brought in a ping pong table.

We had a dry wedding because it made sense for our venue, families, and budget. We also didn’t care about a big dance party, so we skipped the DJ and rented a sound system instead.

Looking back, our wedding felt so like us at that stage. It’s not the wedding I would design for us today, but that’s kind of the point.

A good wedding doesn’t have to check every box. It should make sense for your people, your priorities, your budget, and the season of life you’re in.

Nine years and a whole lot of weddings later, I’ve learned a ridiculous amount.

And I still choose Matt daily. Happy anniversary. ❤️

👧🌸 Tiny wedding party members are adorable... and 👧🌸 Tiny wedding party members are adorable... and totally unpredictable.

In the best-case scenario, they walk perfectly down the aisle, toss petals like pros, and deliver the rings without a hitch.

In the more realistic scenario? They stop halfway to wave at Grandma, sit down in the aisle, burst into tears, or decide those flower petals belong in one big pile. 😂

The good news is that those moments often become everyone's favorite memories. A little planning just helps set them up for success.

Here are a few of my favorite tricks:

💍 Never trust the rings to little hands. Ring bearers younger than 12 carry an empty ring box, pillow, or a fun sign instead. The Best Man keeps the real rings safe until they're needed.

🙌 Give them a clear destination. I tell them to "Go give the groom a big high five!" Since it's often an uncle, sibling, or someone they already know, it feels like a game instead of a performance. We also seat a parent on the aisle so they know exactly where to go afterward.

🌸 Practice the fun part. At the rehearsal, we let flower children practice tossing petals and walking the aisle. Getting comfortable with me ahead of time also makes it much easier when I send them down the aisle on wedding day.

❤️ Always have a backup plan. Toddlers get overwhelmed. They skip naps. They decide today is not the day. That's okay! If a parent is in the wedding party, we often plan for them to carry the child if needed. No stress, no pressure, and everyone still gets their moment.

The goal isn't perfection. It's making sure The Littles in your wedding party feel safe, supported, and included. If they nail it, wonderful. If they steal the show in an unexpected way, that's usually a pretty great story too.

What's the funniest flower child or ring bearer moment you've ever seen? 🌼

📖 A guest book you'll read for the rest of your ma 📖 A guest book you'll read for the rest of your marriage.

Instead of signing a traditional guest book that lives on a shelf, imagine your favorite people leaving handwritten notes throughout the pages of the Bible that will become your family's Bible.

Every message becomes more than a signature. It's a prayer, a piece of encouragement, a favorite verse, or a reminder of the people who stood beside you as your marriage began.

Years from now, as you read those same passages together, you'll find little notes in the margins from grandparents, siblings, mentors, and lifelong friends. Their fingerprints, their handwriting, and their love become part of a book you'll continue to open for decades.

It's a guest book that doesn't collect dust. It becomes part of your marriage. ❤️

✨ Full Service Client Review ✨ “I live in Texas an ✨ Full Service Client Review ✨ “I live in Texas and contacted Stephanie just two months before our wedding in North Carolina at Sky Retreat, and from the very first conversation she was thoughtful, engaging, organized, and genuinely cared about even our smallest concerns. She immediately made us feel comfortable and made it easy to communicate what we liked, what we didn’t, or if we wanted something done a different way.

“Everything was incredibly well planned and intentional — from weekly check-ins to every phone call and email. My husband and I both had very limited free time during the planning process, and Stephanie made everything feel manageable by keeping communication clear, organized, and direct. She always let us know exactly what was needed next without ever making us feel overwhelmed.

“She recommended wonderful vendors, but also never minded when I threw curveballs her way or found different options on my own. Every conversation with her felt purposeful and centered around bringing our vision to life. There were even several times I changed my mind on details, and she never once made me feel difficult or stressed — she simply adjusted and made it happen.

“On our wedding day, the weather caused plans to change quickly, but I felt completely at peace because I trusted Stephanie fully. I knew she understood exactly what I wanted and would make whatever happened beautiful — and she absolutely did.

“Our wedding day was more special and perfect than I could have imagined. One of the sweetest gifts was finding out afterward that Stephanie had captured videos of our ceremony and other special moments throughout the day. Those videos mean the world to us and are something we will treasure forever.

“Stephanie was beyond amazing to work with. Anyone who has worked with her would say the same, and anyone lucky enough to work with her in the future should know they are getting a true gem. We are forever grateful for her.” - Sarah & Ben, Expedited Full Service, Sky Retreat 2026

What if your wedding felt less like a formal event What if your wedding felt less like a formal event... and more like your favorite music festival?

When these two got engaged at the Shakori Hills Grassroots Festival of Music & Dance, they knew there was only one place they wanted to say "I do" - on the grounds where they've built so many memories.

So we leaned all the way in.

✨ Bold color everywhere.
🎸 Live music that kept the energy high.
✨ A glitter bar for guests.
🍹 Drinks flowing all night.
🌼 Creative, festival-inspired decor.
👗 Outfit changes for different parts of the celebration.
⛺ Camping so everyone could stay together and keep the party going.

It wasn't about following wedding traditions. It was about recreating the feeling of the place where their story changed forever.

Your wedding doesn't have to fit anyone else's expectations to have an incredible wedding that's beautiful and meaningful. Sometimes the best celebrations happen when you stop asking, "What do weddings usually look like?" and start asking, "What feels most like us?"

This one was colorful, carefree, and completely unforgettable. Exactly as it should have been. 🌈🎶

A Sip & Solve crossword puzzle is such a fun way t A Sip & Solve crossword puzzle is such a fun way to give guests something interactive to do while they mingle, grab a drink, and wait for the reception to begin.

The clues can be completely customized around the couple, from favorite foods and travel stories to pets, hobbies, inside jokes, and little bits of trivia guests may or may not know.

This couple made theirs even more fitting by making it a Sip-PUN-Solve, which was incredibly on brand for them.

And one of my favorite parts? Guests collaborate! Someone knows the answer to #3, someone’s aunt figures out #12, a friend suddenly understands the terrible pun everyone else has been staring at for five minutes, and slowly the whole puzzle fills up.

Wedding activities don’t need to be elaborate to be memorable. Sometimes a giant crossword, a few markers, and a whole lot of questionable wordplay are all you need.

Ready for an easier wedding planning experience?

I Can't Wait!

Dean & Jess, Full Service 2023

“Working with Stephanie was so great! She was always willing to listen to our ideas and help make them come to life AND she did a great job being flexible the many times we changed our minds! Plus, she always brought ideas to the table and knew many great "hacks" to help get things done. Stephanie is also incredibly welcoming and affirming to LGBTQ couples, something we truly could not be more thankful for! We totally recommend working with Stephanie!”

Jasmine & Greg, Partial Service 2021

Stephanie worked hard to make sure all of our vendors were up to date with any changes, that our guests would feel safe and comfortable, and that even though it was different than originally planned it still remained the day of my dreams. It was so nice to know that she was on my team. The day of the wedding all I had to do was sit back and enjoy the day because I knew everything was being handled by Stephanie and her awesome team.

Karla Krutch, Full Service 2018

I've had a lot of guests come back to me and comment on how impressed they were with the wedding and how much fun they had! And thank you again for everything that you and your husband did for us!”

Alyssa & Zach, Coordination 2021

"Stephanie is the best!!! Her responsiveness and attention to detail made it so that we had every detail of wedding planning covered. We wanted to be involved in the planning so she gave us space to do our own thing and then was there to make sure all of the pieces came together! By the day of, we didn't have to lift a finger and she brought our vision to life perfectly."

Lisa & David, Full Service 2023

“Hiring Stephanie for our wedding was one of the best decisions we could have made. We initially chose Stephanie because she vibed with our personalities, and didn’t pressure or push us towards any “traditional” wedding things that we didn’t want to do. We wanted a wedding that was truly ours, and she had many anecdotes and examples of how she had helped others bring their unique ideas to life. Throughout the whole process, Stephanie kept us on track with planning, ensured all our vendors understood what we wanted, she celebrated our idiosyncrasies and helped us take our fragmented ideas into a cohesive event.”

Sarah & Ernst, Wedding Design Workshop & Coordination 2019

“Stephanie’s theme design workshop was perfect for creating a cohesive vision and making our ideas a beautiful reality! Through the theme design workshop, both of our voices and ideas were heard and recognized.  Stephanie was able to blend both of our individual preferences into perfect harmony...definitely recommend this service!!”

Kellie & Dan, Coordination 2020

“We found Stephanie on Wedding Wire in January of 2019 and hired her as our Day of Coordinator. "Day of" is just a speck of what Stephanie actually does for couples - she is the backbone of the entire communications with vendors and logistics of the ceremony/reception. She is amazing at problem solving and eases any nerves you may have. Stephanie has a knack for answering the questions you never even thought to ask. We could have never asked for a better planner - she is professional, extremely organized, and makes your dream wedding day come true."

India & Colin, Full Service 2019

“Stephanie was a God send to us, from the moment we met her at the wedding show. She has a fun personality, and truly tailored our planning process to not just me, but my now husband as well. I am more of the planner and visionary, and my now husband is more laid back, and she worked great with both of us. The monthly, (then weekly as we got closer to our date), skype calls were amazing, I always felt like we were all on the same page. She is extremely organized, and works with the best vendors. My favorite part was feeling like we were gaining friends by working with Stephanie and Matt - they are just that personable! If you are planning a wedding, STOP immediately until you call Stephanie!!”

Courtney & Aaron, Full Service 2023

“Stephanie had excellent connections with a variety of vendors that were high quality, reliable, and affordable for all kinds of budgets If you're trying to plan your wedding remotely, Stephanie also excels at that. She helped us plan our lovely NC wedding all the way from our home in Massachusetts. With Stephanie's help, we had the wedding of our dreams. It was outdoor and indoor, it was multicultural, it was full of joy and friends. We loved working with her and we think everyone else will too! :D”

Dave & Jen, Elopement 2021

“We were looking for a small elopement because of the pandemic and had a specific budget. Stephanie helped us from start to finish and really went the extra mile on our wedding day to make sure everything was taken care of, even when we had to make adjustments because of a storm happening on our wedding day! She had great recommendations for vendors as well and helped us negotiate to fit our budget and make our dream wedding happen.”

Melody & Dylan, Elopement 2022

“Stephanie is the missing piece to your elopement! My husband and I were engaged for three years, so it only made sense that we threw all caution to the wind and planned our elopement (micro wedding) in under ten weeks. I was definitely of the mindset that I wouldn't need a coordinator because 'we're eloping after all.' I was having a hard time keeping up with vendor emails and the logistics of setting up our ceremony. She does it all. She rocks it all. Our ceremony and cake reception were set up beautifully. Her communication was fast, and we loved our wedding info packet. We couldn't have done it without her.”

Madison & Zach, Partial Service 2019

“10/10 Would Recommend Working with Stephanie! Stephanie was the perfect person to help plan our wedding! We did the partial planner package with her, and I couldn't imagine a better counterpart (other than my husband, of course!) in planning our wedding! She was perfect in affirming our decisions, providing guidance when we weren't sure which direction to go, and assuring confidence in all of the details!”

Sarah & Watson, Full Service 2022

“Stephanie was fantastic to work with. We used her full service option and it was worth every penny. Stephanie was kind, personable, had great attention to detail, and generally made sure our day went incredibly smoothly. Stephanie paid attention to our budget and never once pressured us to do something we couldn’t afford or that wasn’t “us.” She got our style and she was super ready for our ideas even if they weren’t traditional. If you’ve been looking at wedding planners and getting stuck because everyone seems like they’ll plan an airbrushed, generic event that doesn’t fit your vibe, stop looking and contact Stephanie.”

Ashley & LaVelle, Partial + Design 2021

“Stephanie and her team helped keep stress at bay from day one! If you want things to go off without a hitch then beauty and the budget is the team for you! Stephanie and her team are top tier, and awesome at making sure your wedding day is completely stress-free!”

Stephanie & Roscoe, Full Service 2019

Stephanie was our rock during the entire planning and day of process. She knew exactly when to encourage us to just breathe and not stress about every single little detail. The best thing about working with Stephanie was that it felt like she was not just another vendor, but a friend in our personal circle. She really made sure everything came together so our day could be everything we dreamed. Thank you, Stephanie!!!”

Cassandra & Derek, Full Service 2023

“I booked a planner because I know how overwhelmed I can get and Stephanie was just what I needed! She made sure we felt comfortable every step of the way and on the wedding date made things go so smooth. If you want someone to walk alongside you while planning your wedding, she is by far the most amazing person to do just that!!!”
